It’s a sparkling wine. Made with the blend of the varieties Macabeu, Xarel-lo and Parellada by Alsina Sard. It belongs to the D.O. Cava and contains 750 ml with an alcoholic strength of 11.5o. It is a cava with between 32 and 50 g of sugar per liter. Soft pressing with 50% flower must, followed by fermentation at low temperature (15o) in stainless steel tank. Second fermentation in bottle aged for 18-20 months. Alsina&SardTM Semi Seco is a blend of Xarel-lo (50%), Macabeo (30%) and Parellada (20%). The harvest is carried out manually in boxes of 20Kg to maintain as much as possible the integrity of the grape bunches. Subsequently there is a selection of the bunches. The vineyards are 30 to 40 years old. The vineyards owned and characteristic allow to keep in the cupage of this cava the wines made from grapes from farms with very special microclimates that result in wines suitable for long-aged cavas. It is a yellow cava with greenish reflections, with constant bubble detachment. On the nose, notes of nuts, toasted and ripe fruit predominate.
