Vineyards are planted on poor soils of decomposed slate that are very difficult to access, in the Axarquía region, within the DO Sierras de Málaga appellation. With a very dry climate and with an average age of 70 years, although there are some “young” of about 30-40 years and some of very old with an age superior to the 100 years.
