Castro de Valtuille is a wine produced by Bodegas y Viñedos Castro Ventosa, located in the valtuille village of Abajo, in the region of Bierzo, León. 100% made from the Mencía variety. The grapes come from vineyards planted on sandy and chalk soils at an altitude of about 530-628 m. For its production, a traditional winemaking process was carried out, the must fermented in stainless steel tanks.

It has a clear and dense tear. Wine with very attractive and expressive aromas. The red and black fruit is presented on a complex background of spicy, balsamic aromas, creamy notes and mineral and herbal hints. In a good start, it grows as it passes through the mouth. Greedy. Silky and very tasty mid palate. Flavors concentrated with the fruit present. No green edges. Long and persistent finish. Alcohol content: 14 % vol. Serving temperature: 17o C.Pairing: Small game, blue fish, fried eggs with ham, white meats, legumes, duck, cow cheeses, rice with rabbit.
