Enate Merlot-Merlot is a red wine from the D.O Somontano produced by the Enate winery. This winery, one of the references of this D.O., is located in Salas Bajas (Huesca). That’s where this Merlot monovarietal comes from. The grapes come from vineyards planted about 550-600 meters above sea level. The vineyard of the winery, about 500ha of its own, is distributed through the municipalities of Salas Altas, Salas Bajas, Cregenzán and Basbastro.

Enate Merlot-Merlot is a red wine from the D.O Somontano produced by the Enate winery. This winery, one of the references of this D.O., is located in Salas Bajas (Huesca). That’s where this Merlot monovarietal comes from. The grapes come from vineyards planted about 550-600 meters above sea level. The vineyard of the winery, about 500ha own, is distributed through the municipalities of Salas Altas, Salas Bajas, Cregenzán and Basbastro.For its production the grapes are first destemmed and then cold macerated. With the macerated grapes, alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature. Finally, the wine is aged for 14 months in barrels. It is a high expression wine of cherry color of half layer. Suggestive and complex nose of berries (currant, blackberry) with elegant floral nuances (violet) and hints of pepper, vanilla and undergrowth. Soft, round palate on a fluffy tannic mattress, which makes way for a tasty mouth finish, with roasted notes. Balanced acidity that will make you improve in bottle 4 – 5 years. Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon-merlot (50:50). Alcohol content: 14 % vol.
