GUÍMARO (Ribeira Sacra)

Guímaro is a red wine made from Mencía grapes at DO Ribeira Sacra by Pedro Manuel Rodríguez Pérez. Vineyards treated entirely by hand planted on steep terraces in Amandi, one of the five subzones in which the D.O. Ribeira Sacra is divided. The wine has been produced in this appellation of origin for more than 2,000 years. In fact, it was the Romans who began working on these steep slopes.

The wine has been produced in this appellation of origin for more than 2,000 years. In fact, it was the Romans who began working on these steep slopes. It is a high expression wine with a very intense color, cherry red and very intense bluish rim. Aromas of fruit (blueberries and blackberry) with a very mineral background (slate). In the mouth it is very structured, with ripe and sweet tannins, very elegant acidity tip, with a long and prolonged aftertaste with a very mineral finish. Alcohol content: 13.5 % vol.
