Laya is made with Garnacha Tintorera and Monastrell grapes, from vineyards in the Almansa area between 700 and 1,000 meters of altitude, planted in sandy soils with a high concentration of limestone at its base. The grapes are fermented separately in stainless steel tanks and then remain for 4 months in French oak barrels. Laya is a red wine made in the D.O. Almansa by Bodegas Atalaya. This winery belongs to the Gil Family Estates Group, owner of other well-known wineries such as Bodega Juan Gil.
