MAR DE FRADES (Rías Baixas)

Mar de Frades is a varietal made in the DO Rías Baixas with Albariño grape from Finca Valiñas, a vineyard planted on terraces and located south of Mount Valiñas, in the Salnés Valley. You can see the influence of the nearby Ria de Arousa, and its sea breezes that give this Sea of Frades a saline character. They are vines over 20 years old, sandwiched to avoid soil moisture. A poor and shallow soil, formed by granite decomposition sands that transmit to the wine a certain minerality.
