Once the fermentation is complete, macerate for 30-35 days, for maximum extraction. Museum Real Reserva is aged in new French oak barrels for 24 months during which up to 5 rackings are applied per year. Once bottled, unfiltered, it rests for a minimum of 12 months before going on the market. The harvest is carried out manually and the grapes are transported in small boxes to the winery, where after a destemming it passes through a selection table. A varietal Tinta del País variety made from grapes from very old vines, over 70 years old, planted on clayey-calcareous soil with boulders on the surface. The farm is located above 800 meters of altitude. It suffers from a harsh continental climate, with high temperature contrasts between day and night that can reach up to 20oC. The summers are very hot and the winters very cold and rainy. Spring tends to have warmer temperatures but a high risk of frost. A severe climate, which limits the yield of the vineyard to very low levels. Autumns tend to have rather cold temperatures, which helps to obtain a slow ripening of the grapes. Tasting note This is a high-expression high-layer cherry wine. When tilting the glass it maintains a rim with purple hues. On the nose memories of red fruit, currant, blueberries. Very Atlantic in character. When moving the glass, nuances of salted liquorice, ginger, sage, spice background appear… along with mineral and roasted nuances. Powerful and nerve attack that develops multiple sensations that make it very tasty and harmonious. In the aftertaste, the wine is very long, reappearing memories of toasted hazelnuts that link with mineral nuances and exotic woods at retro-ossal. Alcohol content: 14 % vol. Serving temperature: 16-18o C.Pairing:More information about Museum RealSi has any questions about how to buy Museum Real please contact the customer service staff.
