TOMBU PRIETO PICUDO (Bierzo)

Tombú Prieto Picudo is a rosé wine from VT Castilla-León, produced by Dominio Dostares. The winery is located in San Román de Bembibre (León). It is 100% made from the variety Prieto Picudo, an atypical Lioness variety. The grapes come from very old vines of 90 years located at 810m above sea level in Pajares de Oteros. The must ferments for 22 days at a controlled temperature of 14oC. During the fermentation process whole bunches are added, this is known as the technique of the mother and is used in some areas of León for the production of rosé wine.
